Tottenham reportedly lead the race to sign Kieran Tierney

Tottenham have moved ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal in the race to sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, according to Mark Ogden of ESPN FC.

Tierney has only just signed a six-year contract with the Scottish champions and has never indicated any desire to leave his boyhood club but some of the biggest clubs in England are said to be interested in buying him and it looks like Spurs are the most likely to get him.

Tottenham already have a great left-back in Danny Rose but they could be willing to let him leave to join Manchester United, if they can secure a deal to sign Tierney.

Celtic will be in no rush to let one of their star players leave and if they do decide to cash in, they will be able to demand a very large fee as the youngster has only just put pen-to-paper on his contract extension.
