Ahead of Celtic’s League Cup final tie at Hampden against Motherwell, we at Read Celtic will role-play and predict the starting XI.
We will be playing the role of Brendan Rodgers and will be choosing the starting XI, as well as predicting how the team will line-up on the pitch.
It also includes a bit of insight into what we expect from each player, and what they can do to make the difference.
Celtic’s path to the final started back in August when they made comfortably beat Kilmarnock 5-0, where Kieran Tierney scored one of the goals of the season.
A 4-2 win over Neil Lennon’s Hibs in the semi-final ensured the Hoops would be in the final ready to defend the first piece of silverware they won last season.
Motherwell defeated Rangers 2-0 in the other semi-final, with striker Louis Moult bagging a brace in what was a superb performance.
To understand our prediction, you also need to see the latest team news ahead of the game. Here is our predicted eleven in a 4-2-3-1 formation for Sunday’s match.
