Celtic’s third place finish in their Champions League group was enough to send them to the UEFA Europa League knockout stages.
This is the first time Celtic have been in the knockout stages of the competition since 2015, where they again transferred from the Champions League.
Celtic were in the competition in 2015/16 but failed to make it out of the group stages. This was a massive factor in the sacking of Ronny Delia.
