As The Herald reports, Brendan Rodgers is looking to get a January loan move for Eboue Kouassi as the young midfield has had very limited playing time for Celtic, making just nine appearances thus far.
The 20-year-old joined the club in last year’s January window after sealing a £3 million move from FC Krasnodar in Russia.
It has been a difficult start for Eboue in Scotland with injuries and illness preventing him from getting any sort of run in the first team and faced another spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury in the 5-0 cup victory over Kilmarnock in August and didn’t return until October.

The manager has said it is simply the great form of captain Scott Brown and other midfielders in Celtic’s talented squad, that have led to Eboue’s lack of game time.
Eboue was brought in and he plays a specific role. The Scott Brown role. It just so happens to be the captain, who’s been brilliant. It’s been difficult. Browny is one I’ve taken out the odd game and got Eboue in but there’s no doubt he hasn’t played number of games. It’s not because of him its just the form of our captain.
Rodgers obviously rates the Ivorian highly and hopes he can be the one to replace Scott Brown in the future.
A loan move in January would give him the game time he needs in order to develop to his high potential.
Eboue’s brilliant in training, he does everything, and longer term he will certainly fulfil that role when Scott moves on.
But while we wait for that, we need to ensure Eboue is developing and improving. That might mean game time in the second part of the season. He needs to be playing.
Kristoffer Ajer is a prime example of a successful loan deal for Celtic after the young defender was sent to Kilmarnock last season and is now seeing the benefits after making a good impression in recent games and the same could happen for Eboue Kouassi this year.
