Kristoffer Ajer is set to receive his first senior cap for the Norwegian national team, according to the Daily Record.
The centre-half has looked comfortable at the back for the Hoops this season and has caught the eye of his national team’s manager, Lars Lagerbäck, following a thread of impressive performances.
The 19-year-old was granted a start in the recent stalemate between Celtic and Rangers and didn’t look out of place at all throughout.

He’s made a total of 12 appearances for his club so far this season and it’s looking likely that he’ll have a bigger part to play in 2018.
The former IK Start player has featured for Norway at every level from U16 all the way through to the U20 side.
He made a short-term move on loan to Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock last January, where he racked up some valuable game-time while also showing just what he is capable of producing.
