Celtic attacker Stuart Armstrong is due to be sidelined for around a month after a hernia operation.
According to the Evening Times, Armstrong underwent an operation in Germany yesterday to solve a long-term injury worry.
Armstrong had been struggling with injuries this season, so the club believed that the new year was the best time for the player to receive treatment.

The 25-year-old will now miss games against Partick Thistle, Hibs and Hearts in the league as well as a Scottish Cup tie against Brechin.
The report suggests that Celtic hope to have the player back fit again for the Europa League tie against Russian side Zenit St Petersburg in the middle of February.
Armstrong had been linked with a £10 million move to the Premier League with Southampton interested in signing the player.
With the Scottish international now sidelined for a month, it looks unlikely that he will leave the club before the summer.
