Dundee will demand £1.5m from Celtic for defender Jack Hendry if the Hoops come in for the player, as per a report from the Daily Record.
Celtic were apparently hoping to pay around £800,000 for the 22-yer-old but a source from Dundee revealed that the club would not be prepared to sell him for such an amount. The unnamed source said:
The manager is not looking for any offers for Jack but he is also realistic and he knows a number of clubs are circling, with Celtic being one of them. But if the numbers being talked about on the grape-vine are accurate then Dundee will have no appetite to sell Jack at this stage. To put it bluntly, £800, 000 would be no-where near enough to get him. He’s worth a lot more than that to the manager and the club.
Neil McCann does not want to lose one of his best players but he is prepared for bid to come in, but the club are insisting that he will only leave on their terms, meaning somebody will need to match their asking price.

Celtic are looking to boost their defence as they look to complete another domestic treble, as well as compete in the Europa League and they are expected to make a bid for Hendry before the transfer window closes.
However, if they though that they’d be able to get him on the cheap, it looks like they were mistaken.
