Celtic have swooped to sign Scott Bain on loan from Dundee until the end of the season and will compete for the starting place alongside Dorus de Vries.
The club confirmed the news on their official website with a statement.
Craig Gordon was ruled out for 12 weeks after suffering a knee injury in the Hoops’ 1-0 victory over Hibernian over a week ago, and 26-year-old Bain has been brought in to compete for the starting spot at Parkhead.

Stern competition will be provided for the experienced de Vries, as the Scot looks to make a name for himself in coming months with his contract at Dundee due to expire in the summer.
Bain signed for Hibernian on loan at the beginning of January after falling out of favour at Dens Park under Neil McCann.
However, he did not make any appearances for the Easter Road side and opted to join the champions when the offer came in.
Scott Allan was on loan at Dundee from Celtic, although he will now join Hibs on loan as a result of Bain’s transfer.
