Celtic lost an integral part of their midfield in January when Stuart Armstrong was sidelined after undergoing a hernia operation but the Scotland international is set for an extraordinarily quick return to the side.
The Daily Record note that Armstrong has recovered quickly from his surgery and could be in line for a return to the side in time for Celtic’s Europa League last 32 clash with Zenit St. Petersburg on February 15th.
Armstrong has four goals and five assists so far this season and his presence in midfield was a big miss for the Bhoys during their shock 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock last time out.

The 25-year-old is part of a lengthy injury list for Celtic at the moment that includes fellow midfielders Patrick Roberts and Tom Rogic who are both expected to return at some point in the next fortnight, while winger Jonny Hayes is out for the season after breaking his leg.
Striker Leigh Griffiths is set to miss the next few weeks with a calf injury, while both Marvin Compper and Anthony Ralston could return in time for the Zenit clash also, but Craig Gordon is unlikely to return before April.
