Celtic winger Callum McGregor has been named in the Europa League team of the week after his goal earned Celtic a 1-0 victory over Zenit St Petersburg on Thursday evening.
McGregor’s, whose excellent 78th minute strike ensured that Celtic will travel to Russia in a week’s time with a slight advantage, was named in the side alongside players from the likes of Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Celtic were by far the better team on the night but they had toiled away for 70 minutes without being able to quite get their final ball right.
However, McGregor’s excellent control and finish sent Celtic Park into raptures and his all-round performance on the night earned him a place in the team of the week.

The Europa League team of the week:
David Ospina (Arsenal)
Stefan Lainer (RB Salzbrug)
Lucas (Atletico Madrid)
Callum Chambers (Arsenal)
Nacho Monreal (Arsenal)
Andre Schurrle (Borussia Dortmund)
Manuel Fernandes (Lokomotiv)
