Celtic have agreed a deal with NIFL Premiership side Dungannon Swifts that sees teenager goalkeeper Liam Hughes join the club’s academy set up.

The 16-year-old has already played for the Dungannon Swifts first-team in the NIFL Premiership at such a young age and it was there where Celtic scouts first identified him.
Hughes follows in the footsteps of Conor Hazard, who signed from Cliftonville, and he’ll be hoping to work his way up the ranks, just as Hazard seems to be doing.
The U17 international will join the Celtic development set up and will look to continue to improve to a point where, some time in the future, he’s competing to be the club’s number one.
