Kieran Tierney expressed his delight after scoring Celtic’s second goal against Aberdeen on Sunday.
As reported by the Evening Times, Tierney says as good as it was to score such a crucial goal, his focus remains on the team.
A goal is a goal for me. As long as the team wins I don’t care who scores if I am being honest. For me, it is brilliant to get another goal. I managed to celebrate in front of the Celtic fans which meant a lot to me.
The Hoops are now nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, 12 points above of Sunday’s opponents.
The win came at a crucial time for Brendan Rodgers’ side, who were knocked out of the Europa League by Zenit St Petersburg in Russia.
After the highs of last season, Rodgers’ side have struggled for consistency domestically.
Tierney has been one of the bright sparks as the young defender continues to impress at Celtic.
The 20-year-old has shown his attacking threat from defensive positions on several occasions this season, with Sunday’s goal his third of the season in the Scottish Premiership.
