Last season Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic squad produced a stunning campaign where they completed an unbeaten domestic treble.
Whilst this season they are still in the hunt for another treble, the performances haven’t quite been at the same level as last season.
Players like James Forrest, Kristoffer Ajer and unsurprisingly Scott Brown have shone, but there are a few others in the squad that are matching the club’s high standards.
However, there have been some performances, including the two domestic defeats and several disappointing draws where the performance level has been well below what is required.
The stats don’t lie. At this stage last season, Celtic had a handsome 27-point lead over their nearest challengers, with the gap being down to six points at this current stage.
Injuries have blighted the squad as well hampering the performance level at times, but here are five players who need to reach the heights of last season to help Celtic secure a second consecutive domestic treble.
