As per The Daily Record, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that defender Dedryck Boyata will return in time for the trip to Rangers next weekend.
The Belgian has been out of action since limping off during the defeat to Kilmarnock and missed both legs against Zenit.St Petersburg in the Europa League.
Rodgers confirmed that he won’t be risked against Greenock Morton in the Scottish Cup this weekend but will be available thereafter alongside new signing Marvin Compper and Patrick Roberts, who also return to the side.
Dedryck will probably be back after the weekend. So that will be great news. It will be great to have him back. He’s been top class so it would be great if he’s back for the Rangers game.
He’s looking good doing his on field work.

The manager also confirmed that midfielder Stuart Armstrong is not expected to return until after the international break in March. Armstrong has not played a game so far this year after a hernia operation during the club’s winter break so is only likely to feature until Ross County visit Parkhead on March 31.
Stuart has stepped up the intensity of his training. Maybe over the course of the next couple of weeks he could be back in joining the group. But I think it’s probably going to be after the international break.
Leigh Griffiths, another player out through injury, still has no return date as he looks to recover from a calf injury that has plagued him all season.
Griff has seen a specialist about his calves and what not. Of course, even when he can get back onto the field he needs to get fit. So that’s going to be an extended period really.

After Wednesday’s clash with Dundee was proposed the focus will now shift to  Morton in the Scottish Cup on Saturday as the Hoops take aim at a second treble in a row.
