Belgium boss Roberto Martinez hails Charly Musonda

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has heaped the praise on young Celtic star Charly Musonda.

As quoted by the Daily Mail, the former Everton boss discussed Musonda’s talents and spoke of his belief that the Chelsea youngster will flourish at Celtic Park during his 18-month loan spell.

With his talent, the Celtic fans will see a footballer they can fall in love with. The league has gained an incredible talent.

Martinez will be hoping to see some exciting displays from the wide man as he continues to ponder over his 23-man squad for the World Cup at the end of the season. Musonda has impressed when given the opportunity at Celtic and will hope to force his way into Martinez’s plans for the tournament in Russia.

The 21-year-old put pen to paper on a new and improved deal with Chelsea before joining Celtic on a temporary basis in January. His arrival in Scotland was met with anticipation from the club’s faithful but he is yet to truly demonstrate his quality on a regular basis.

It’s what you hope to watch in the stadium when you arrive. You want to see that arrogance, that raw talent. This is a real treat for Celtic fans. He can be one of the big additions to Scottish football.

Musonda has made five appearances in a Celtic shirt so far, with only three of them coming as starts in all competitions.
