Marvin Compper hopes Brendan Rodgers considers him for the game against Rangers this Sunday.
The centre-half made his debut in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Morton and after a shaky start began to look part of the team.
He was subbed off after 80 minutes in the Scottish Cup quarter-final at Celtic Park.
He suffered a calf injury in January which stalled any chances of him making an appearance but now that he’s fit, the 32-year-old hopes the manager will be considering him for the trip to Ibrox.
As quoted by the Daily Record, the German said:
I’ll do my best during the week to try and make sure the gaffer puts me in.
It is going to be very intense. We need to be ready from the first minute.

Rodgers himself was glad his new signing was finally able to get some game-time under his belt:
It was a case of getting out there and getting a feel for the pitch and the supporters. I wasn’t so sure about his first pass but after that he regained his confidence.
It is never easy, not matter how old you are or how experienced you are to get your first game for a club. But he needed to come in and play.
Fans have begun to speculate what the Northern Irishman’s starting XI will be on Sunday, with a number of names in for a shout. The Hoops will be aiming to make it four wins from four at Ibrox since Rodgers was appointed in May 2016.
