Celtic winger Scott Sinclair was involved in an incident at Glasgow airport following his side’s victory in the Glasgow Derby, according to the Daily Record.
Sinclair was waiting to board a flight when three individuals are claimed to have attacked the former Manchester City man.
The attack that took place on him was thought to be a verbal one following his side’s victory in the derby earlier today, with no physical contact being pointed out.
The 28-year-old was still able to continue and board his correct flight as the three people who reportedly verbally abused him were prevented from boarding on the same plane as the player.
Sinclair was on the bench for his side’s victory earlier today but he has played a vital role for the team at times this season.
The win was secured thanks to goals from Tom Rogic, Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard in a 3-2 victory for the Hoops.
A spokesman at Glasgow airport had his say on the situation:
I can confirm there was an incident in the BA lounge. Three individuals were removed from the flight and the airport by the police.
