Police not taking action against those who abused Scott Sinclair
Glasgow Police have revealed that no action will be taken against the two men who verbally abused Celtic star Scott Sinclair at Glasgow Airport after his side’s 3-2 win over Rangers.
Police were called to the BA lounge at Glasgow Airport as Sinclair was targeted as he was waiting to board a flight. They didn’t make any arrests but they did prevent two people from boarding their flight.
Sinclair did not make any formal complaint to the police about the incident as he continued his journey.
A Police Scotland spokesperson, speaking about the incident, said:
Police received no reports regarding an assault at Glasgow Airport on Sunday 11th March. Officers did attend the BA lounge at 5.15pm and two men were removed from the premises. Advice was given to staff and no further action was taken.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Glasgow Airport said:
I can confirm there was an incident in the BA lounge. Three individuals were removed from the flight and the airport by the police.
