Several reports from the continent are claiming that Celtic are interested in signing Lovro Majer, as per The Daily Record,
Majer is currently at Zagreb side NK Lokomotiva and the Scottish Champions are apparently scouting the starlet with a view to a permanent move to Glasgow.
A deal for the attacking midfielder for could cost the Hoops around £1.5 million as Brendan Rodgers may look to improve his attacking options this summer.
Having represented Croatia at U18, U19 and senior levels there can be little doubt about the talent possessed by the 20-year-old.
However, Majer’s current contact runs until 2020 and he could take a lot of convincing to move from his native land in Croatia to Scotland.
Even if any deal can be reached for the exciting young prospect, there is certainly no guarantee that a switch to Parkhead will lead to a regular starting place in Rodgers’ side.
Current players like Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor already face a fight for the No.10 role along with Chelsea loanee Charly Musonda, so it remains to be seen whether Majer is the type of player that Celtic will target in the summer window.
