Team news: Celtic v Hibernian (A)

Celtic are just one win away from mathematically securing their seventh consecutive league title ahead of their to face Hibernian on Saturday.

After comfortably beat Rangers in last week’s Scottish Cup semi-final, Brendan Rodgers side set up a second consecutive domestic final clash with Motherwell next month.

With a 13 point gap over their Glasgow rivals, a win will make it five trophies from a possible five for the Irish man in charge of his boyhood club.

Neil Lennon has ambitions for Hibernian to finish second in the league, and their first win of the season over Celtic after two draws and two losses would be the best possible start to the post-split run-in.

Their last defeat came at the hands of the Hoops at the end of January, and they have gone on a run of nine games without defeat since.

The Easter Road side are just three points off second place going into the 12:30 kick-off.

Celtic

Stuart Armstrong picked up a knock on his calf in training last week and is the only doubt going into the game for Celtic.

Jack Hendry returns to the squad after the defender was cup-tied and missed the 4-0 Glasgow Derby win last weekend.

Nir Bitton, Jonny Hayes and Michael Johnston are the only long-term absentees and will miss the rest of the season.

Hibernian

Brandon Barker and David Gray are expected to return to the squad from a hamstring and achilles injury respectively, after an extended period on the sidelines for both.

Scott Allan is ineligible and won’t face his parent club while Marvin Bartley suspended.

Ross Laidlaw remains out with a long-term shoulder injury.
