£4m to be invested into Celtic Park development

Celtic are reportedly set to invest £4m into developing Celtic Park, in an attempt to bring entertainment of a similar standard as Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena to the East End of Glasgow, according to The Daily Record.

It is believed that £2.3m will be spent on a brand new entertainment system, bringing an immense light and sound show to further improve the atmosphere at Celtic’s home games.

With the new investments, a further £1.3m will be spent on turning the hallowed turf into a new hybrid pitch.

Further work is currently being done on executive lounges, stadium roof and external areas.

Celtic are set to finish all of these developments by the start of next season, and they will see Parkhead transformed into one of Europe’s elite venues in next season’s Champions League.
