Morgan will ‘make sure’ he gets into Celtic team
Lewis Morgan is adamant he won’t be going out on loan next season and can break into the Celtic team, reports the Daily Record.
Morgan signed for the Hoops in January from St Mirren, but was loaned back to the Saints to finish the season there.
The winger was a vital member of the team as they got promoted. He scored 18 goals and collected 13 assists on his way to claiming the Championship Player of the Year Award.
He now hopes to start the new season with Celtic and force his way into Brendan Rodgers’ starting eleven:
The first thing is for me to come back in for pre-season and get assessed from there. All being well going back out on loan won’t be the case and I can kick on here. That is what is on my mind at the moment. I’m planning on coming back for the new season to make sure I get into the team.
Morgan’s form has seen him named in the Scotland squad for the upcoming friendlies against Peru and Mexico, and that will be used as the springboard to help the 21-year-old show Celtic why he should be a key player for them next season.
