Celtic eyeing McTominay swoop
Celtic are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay on a season-long loan.
According to the Scotsman, Celtic are exploring the possibility of bringing McTominay to Scotland for next season.
McTominay was given his chance by Jose Mourinho at Manchester United last season, but looks set to play a rotation role again next campaign.
United may be tempted to let him have a season of first-team football under Brendan Rodgers at Celtic – where he would also be able to gain Champions League experience.
Rodgers is looking to strengthen his Celtic side and sees McTominay as a strong addition to his midfield.
McTominay could be a replacement for Stuart Armstrong, who is expected to join Southampton in a deal worth £7m in the coming days.
Armstrong has agreed to join Southampton and official confirmation of the deal is not thought to be far away.
