Ex-Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has warned Scottish champions Celtic that his Rosenborg side are out for revenge ahead of the upcoming meeting in the Champions League.
The match between the two sides will be the second round of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League group stage. Last year when the two sides met Celtic got the better of Rosenborg with a 1-0 aggregate win in Trondheim after a goalless draw at Parkhead.
Bendtner seems determined that the result will be different this time around when the two sides meet and according to The Herald, the Danish international sent a warning to the Scottish champions.
It will be interesting. We met them last year. We have to prepare for next week and then see what’s going on. We have not looked at them yet. I think it will be a different match than last year. To be honest, we know how they play. And we know they are a massive club who are extremely consistent in getting to the Group Stage.
Rosenborg boss Kare Ingebrigsten is also excited about a prospect of a re-writing his wrongs when the two sides meet after only a late goal separated both teams last season.
We think we can do it. Last year was a massive disappointment to go out like that to Celtic. Hopefully, it will turn out better now.
Celtic are once again likely to be favourites over the two legs, coming off the back of yet another impressive domestic campaign and are favourites to retain their title later this season.
