Moussa Dembele likely to be fit to face Rosenborg
Celtic have been given a major boost as Moussa Dembele is looking like he’ll be fit to play against Rosenborg in Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League qualifier.
Dembele limped out of last week’s win against Alashkert with a hamstring issue but Alison McConnell of the Herald reports that the issue was just some tightness and the decision to take him off was precautionary.
With Leigh Griffiths unlikely to feature before August, having Dembele fit for the huge clash against the Norwegians will be a major boost as Celtic look to ensure safe passage into the Champions League group stages for the third successive season.
One issue which still remains is at centre back. With Jozo Simunovic suspended for the first leg after his red-card against Alashkert last week, Rodgers will need to do some reshuffling and even though Mikael Lustig is back with the squad after his post-World Cup break, he’s unlikely to feature on Wednesday.
