It was a mixed evening for Brendan Rodgers and his squad when they travelled to Lithuania, as the Hoops left with a 1-1 draw.
The result means the tie is now finely balanced with just one more game separating them from a place in the Europa League group stages.
Midfielder Olivier Ntcham scored Celtic’s only goal of the game, but they were pegged back just 10 minutes later and the match finished level.
Here is how we rated each player following their performance.
Craig Gordon - 5
Would have been disappointed to concede in such a manner.
Improved in the second half with a number of good saves.
Cristian Gamboa - 5
Didn’t look at all convincing before being replaced.
Kristoffer Ajer - 6
Ajer didn’t cover himself in glory for their goal, but he did improve and impress as the game went on.
Jozo Simunovic - 5
A poor evening for Simunovic who was forced off early with an injury.
Kieran Tierney - 7
Conceded the foul that led to Suduva’s goal, but he linked up really well with Johnston in front of him. Always looked a threat going forward.
Scott Brown - 7
A solid performance from the captain. Just what was needed in a tricky away fixture.
Olivier Ntcham - 7
Took his goal well to give Celtic the lead. Always tried to get the Hoops playing by linking up with those around him.
James Forrest - 6
Provided a decent bit of pace out wide but didn’t impact the game much.
Callum McGregor - 5
Another who struggled to get going in Lithuania, not much to write home about here.
Mikey Johnston - 8
Looked calm and composed on what was a big night for the youngster.
You’d have never known it was his first European game with an exciting performance like that.
Moussa Dembele - 6
A frustrating evening for the striker who had a few sights at goal, but couldn’t find the back of the net.
Subs:
Mikael Lustig – 4, a few nervous moments after coming off the bench.
Izaguirre – 4, came on with just over 20 minutes left to play.
Leigh Griffiths – 5, tried to give the Hoops that little bit extra up front but couldn’t do so.
