After playing in the Team Petrov v Team Milner charity match last weekend, a number of Celtic fans have been calling for Celtic to sign Ashley Young.
The Manchester United defender is currently into the final year of his contract and can leave Old Trafford at the end of the season – for free.
The former Aston Villa man was England’s first choice left-back in Russia during the World Cup and has bags of experience thanks to years of top level football.

Young scored in the charity game at Celtic Park and afterwards, a number of fans voiced their opinions on Twitter.
Twitter: Any chance we can convince Ashley Young he’s been sold to Celtic & get him a flat in the town until January? (@metalrafferty)

Whilst he may look good in the green and white, Young may still be offered another deal with Manchester United as a backup option to Luke Shaw, who now appears to have nailed down the starting spot permanently.
However, the Englishman may fancy a new challenge and the atmosphere at Parkhead will have done no harm whatsoever in potentially swaying his decision.
