Celtic have been left to sweat over the condition of Kristoffer Ajer ahead of their fixture againstĀ Kilmarnock at the weekend.
The central defender was forced to sit out of Celtic’s recent Europa League fixture againstĀ Rosenborg as he continues to recover from a virus. This did not deter the Hoops, however, as they ran out as 1-0 winners.
Ajer, though, has not yet been passed fit for the clash against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. As reported by the Daily Record, the defender has been included inĀ Celtic’s provisional squad for the match, however, his fitness is not yet certain.

It’s claimed that the Norway international will face a late fitness test ahead of the ScottishĀ Premiership fixture, with assessments to take place.
Celtic are well-stocked with defensive options but will be keen to have Ajer fit and available as they look to bridge the five-point gap between them and Hearts at the top of the table.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers does not have many injury concerns ahead of the fixture. He will, though, be without the suspended Olivier Ntcham following his dismissal against StĀ Mirren.
