Rodgers not thinking about Celtic exit

Brendan Rodgers has denied that he is considering his immediate future at the club.

As reported by Sky Sports, Rodgers admitted that he is focusing on turning the club’s form around after their poor start to the season.

There had been some concern among supporters that Rodgers was hinting at moving on after his latest comments about the club’s current problems.

Rodgers previously revealed that he was worried about the Hoops’ form after they lost their second game of the season against Kilmarnock over the weekend.

For me, I only gave that notion of them being alarmed purely because of how we’ve started the season and there should be nothing more than that.

The only message I can give them is that I am absolutely privileged to be here. I want to continue to be here. Yes, we haven’t had the start. Yes, we haven’t had the Champions League qualification, but I still love my work here, love the challenges here.

Finding themselves sixth in the league after as many games, the club are going through their worst domestic start in 20 years.

The club now face another crucial week when they face St Johnstone in the League Cup on Wednesday night before a home match against Aberdeen in the league.
