Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Kristoffer Ajer could be sidelined for as long as six weeks.
The Norwegian defender was forced off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury against St Johnstone in the League Cup on Wednesday night.
Rodgers bemoaned his loss when speaking to Celtic TV after the game.
We’ll see in the next day or two how long that is going to be. It could be four to six weeks.

Ajer was substituted just after the 30-minute mark and Jack Hendry was brought on off the bench.
The latter could well now keep his place in the side and replace Ajer in the starting XI for the home clash against Aberdeen at the weekend.
The news comes as another blow to Rodgers’ side, in what was a mixed evening for the Hoops.
Progression into the next round came at a cost, with Ajer injured and Dedryck Boyata shown a red card.
