Salzburg one of the best in Europe says Rangnick

Celtic are due to face one of the best sides in Europe in the form of Red Bull Salzburg, according to RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick.

As reported by the Daily Record, Rangnick believes the Hoops are in for a tough test when the two sides meet in the Europa League.

For me, Salzburg is one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. Anyone playing them face a difficult task. They beat some really good other teams on the way to the Euro League semi-finals.

Celtic meet Salzburg next Thursday and will be hoping to make it two wins from two in the Europa League after seeing off Rosenborg.

However, it will not be an easy task for Brendan Rodgers’ side, with Salzburg beating Leipzig 3-2 in the opening round of fixtures.

Salzburg are an experienced team in the Europa League and reached the semi-finals of the competition last season.

The Austrian Bundesliga leaders beat likes of Borussia Dortmund and Lazio on their way to the semi-final.
