Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is a doubt for Thursday’s Europa League clash against RB Salzburg, with boss Brendan Rodgers describing a challenge on the Frenchman as “very reckless”, the BBC report.
The 20-year-old was on the receiving end of a heavy challenge from Scott McKenna in the first half of Celtic’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen.
The youngster, who has been an impressive performer in what has been a frustrating start for the Hoops this season, received lengthy treatment on the field, before being replaced by Scott Sinclair in the 43rd minute.

Talking after the much needed victory on Saturday, Rodgers was asked about Edouard’s condition and whether or not the forward could be fit for the trip to Austria.
We will just have to wait and see. The centre-half comes across and jumps off the floor with two feet and catches [Edouard] high up on his thigh – he has got the marks to prove it – and it was a clear foul.
With dead legs, sometimes you can run them off but when it is a deeper pain, it is difficult. Unfortunately he couldn’t play on, but hopefully he should be OK for Thursday.
Edouard’s replacement Sinclair grabbed the decisive goal at Celtic Park, and could well be in line for a start in the Europa League, as Celtic look to make it two wins from two in Europe.
