Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has revealed that he never came close to considering a move away from the club over the summer.
Speaking about his future to the Evening Times, the former Aston Villa star admits he was always focused on working his way back into Brendan Rodgers’ side.
No, it was never in my mind that I wanted to leave the club. I love it here. I love the fans, I love the club and when I scored on Saturday you could see the emotion. It is pure joy.
There was a lot in that – frustration and relief coming out – and I think I have probably only had that same real feeling a handful of times in my career.

Sinclair had found game time hard to come by during the latter stages of last season and the early weeks of the new campaign.
He was linked him with a move to the Premier League over the summer when he had fallen out of favour at the club, but he opted to remain with the Scottish champions.
Sinclair scored his first goal of the season and his first for the Hoops since January on Saturday when he came off the bench to net the winner against Aberdeen.
The winger scored the only goal of the game just after the hour mark to give the Hoops a much-needed victory, lifting the club to fifth position in the Scottish Premiership.
