The SPFL are considering moving Celtic’s Scottish League Cup semi-final to Murrayfield on Sunday 28th October, as per the BBC.
The original plan, due to Celtic and Rangers having European commitments, was to have Aberdeen vs Rangers played at noon at Hampden Park, with Celtic v Hearts taking place at the same stadium on the same date, with a 7:45 pm kick-off.
However, that decision has been widely criticised and the police didn’t seem too happy with that arrangement either.

The SPFL’s contract with Hampden Park Limited meant that they were obligated to play both games at the venue, and when they originally asked HPL to waive their rights to one of the games, they originally declined.
However, it seems that they’ve now had a change of heart and they’ve contacted the SPFL to let them know that they will allow one of the games to be played elsewhere, and it now looks like Celtic v Hearts will be played at Murrayfield.
