Celtic’s Kieran Tierney expects Odsonne Edouard to be fully fit for Thursday night’s Europa League match against Salzburg in Austria, the Evening Times reports.
Edouard was on the end of a rough scissor-kick tackle from Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna and sustained a dead leg as a result.
However, Tierney has announced that Edouard joined the rest of the Celtic squad in training yesterday.
He’s fine – he’s back training with us.
You saw the tackle. It’s one of those things you can’t say too much about; you just need to get on with it and hope that something like that doesn’t happen to you – you continue to challenge in a fair manner and hope that nothing bad happens.

Odsonne got lucky because his foot hadn’t been planted. It looked a really sore one at the time, though, so to have him back on the training ground is great for us.
I saw the photograph that Odsonne put on social media – and I saw Broony’s comment underneath it as well. [Scott McKenna] probably never meant to do it but it’s just one of those things – anyone can mistime a challenge.
Tierney went on to speak of his thoughts on Hearts currently topping the Scottish Premier League and stated that it will be interesting to see how they cope with the pressure when they take on Rangers at the Ibrox this weekend.
That could be interesting because usually the pressure is on us to lead from the front but they’re sitting on top of the Premiership and they haven’t lost to anyone yet so the pressure will eventually build on them.
At Celtic, we’re used to dealing with that pressure all the time. Hearts have had a great start and proved that they’re really hard to beat – we already know that because, when we lost to them at Tynecastle, it was a really tough game.

It’s good for the division that so many teams are challenging at this early stage but, for us, we want to climb up the table.
People talk about a title challenge and, especially when there’s so much chatter about us, we just want to work hard and go out there and do what we’ve always done.
We’re not looking to prove anybody wrong; it’s more about proving ourselves right and get back to where in the two previous seasons – or as close as we possibly can.
Tierney also explained that he was delighted for Scott Sinclair to get back on the scoresheet for Celtic at the weekend.
You’d need to speak to him about how he feels but he’s been working hard and doing extra sessions practising his shooting, crossing and dribbling.
He’s been in the gym as well.
His attitude is 100% right so it’s just about being given a chance and then taking it, which he did at the weekend.

I don’t know how many goals he’s scored since he’s been here – probably not too far off 40 – and that shows you that, even though he’s a winger, he’s also a goalscorer.
Scott’s a natural finisher and it’s great to have someone like that in the box, someone who can provide a back-heeled finish like he did against Aberdeen to give us the three points.
