Scott Brown missed training on Wednesday with a hamstring issue, and could be left out of Celtic’s Europa League match with Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday night.
The skipper has been a regular fixture in Celtic’s stuttering start to the season, playing full sets of ninety minutes each time.
It seems the workload has started to take its toll.

Sportlens report that Brown is a serious doubt for the encounter with Salzburg, joining a growing list of injured Hoops stars.
Central defender Filip Benkovic is to watch the match from the stands, with play-maker Tom Rogic resigned to a similar fate.
Digging deeper into the squad, manager Brendan Rodgers is to have his hand forced into giving starts to Jack Hendry and Callum McGregor.
If Brown is unavailable, Rodgers may have to call upon Eboue Kouassi in the middle of the park.
Celtic are looking to carry on their good start to their Europa League campaign, after a 1-0 win against Rosenborg set the ball rolling.
