Mikael Lustig believes that Celtic will bounce back quickly after another disappointing defeat in Europe.
The Hoops were beaten 3-1 by Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday night but the defender believes that Brendan Rodgers’ men can get back on track this weekend.
Odsonne Edouard got Celtic off to the perfect start, scoring inside the first two minutes, but the game ended in the Austrian side’s favour with three second-half goals.
The defeat on Thursday night leaves Celtic sitting level on points with RB Leipzig in Group B.
Speaking to reporters after the game, as cited on BBC Sport, Lustig explains that this is something that the club and squad have become familiar with in recent years.
It has been like this for the last seven years. We have struggled in Europe before and then come back and played a great game domestically. Hopefully we can again.
The Hoops face an important game on Sunday against St Johnstone, in which they will be hoping to close the gap between themselves and league leaders Hearts.
Celtic will be looking to make up for lost time after their poor start to the domestic season.
