Mulumbu claims Celtic players aren’t worried about their league position

Celtic midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has dismissed the club’s rivals, claiming that no team in Scotland can match the Hoops.

The Bhoys haven’t enjoyed the best of starts to the new season, and currently sit fifth in the Scottish Premier League table.

However, despite their league position being less than flattering, the former West Brom and Norwich City midfielder insists that he and his team-mates aren’t concerned, with Mulumbu claiming that in time, Celtic will be back on top.

Speaking before Sunday’s clash against St Johnstone, where the DR Congo international is expected to continue deputising for the injured Scott Brown, Mulumbu said:

There is no worry at all about the league table because once we play Hearts and Hibs, once we beat them, we are going to be on the top.

Because we are Celtic, and the quality we have in that dressing room.

No other team have it in Scotland.

There is no chance that we aren’t going to win anything this season.

When I speak with the lads in the dressing room, we aren’t worried about it (the league table).

We know we are going to be at the top of the table. The only team that can beat us is ourselves.
