Key Hibs man ruled out of Celtic clash through injury
Hibernian’s Thomas Agyepong will miss the upcoming game against Celtic through injury.
As reported by the Daily Record, Ghana boss James Kwesi Appiah has confirmed that the player is set to be sidelined for three weeks.
He had a scan and thought he could join the team, but he has been given three weeks off. So for that reason, he can’t be part of the team.
Agyepong was due to meet up with the senior Ghana squad during the international break, but he will now sit out of the game because of an ankle injury.
Celtic and Hibernian meet in just under two weeks time following the second international break of the season.
The Hoops will be keen to pick up a positive result as they bid to continue their upturn in domestic form.
A win over Hibernian, who sit one place above the club, could see Brendan Rodgers’ men leapfrog their opponents and move to the top of the table depending on Hearts’ result.
The latter have a difficult game against Aberdeen to deal with as the Hoops look to ramp up the pressure.
