Celtic have been given a huge injury boost ahead of their game with Hibernian on October 20th as captain Scott Brown says he’ll be in contention to feature in the match.

Brown missed the 3-1 Europa League defeat to Red Bull Salzburg and the 6-0 demolition of St. Johnstone due to a hamstring injury, but he says he’s working hard to get fit for the game with Hibs.

He said:

I’m feeling good. I’m working hard with the physios and will be back in contention for the Hibs game.

Celtic currently sit one place, and one point, behind Hibs in the Scottish Premier League table and know that a home win will see them leapfrog the Edinburgh side into second place.

Celtic could end that weekend as league leaders if they beat Hibs and if Hearts lose to Aberdeen, so they’ll be keen to have their captain in the squad to face his former club.
