Jozo Simunovic wants to nail down a regular place in Celtic’s starting XI this season as he continues his return to action.
Speaking to the Celtic View ahead of this weekend’s clash against Hibernian, as reported by the Scotsman, Simunovic explains why the game is a big chance for him.
I see the Hibs game as a big opportunity for me to impress the manager and earn a regular place in the starting XI. But all I can do is work hard and try to improve every day.

The arrival of Filip Benkovic on loan from Leicester City and the prospect of Jack Hendry enjoying his first full season with the Hoops have cast doubts over the amount of playing time Simunovic will get this season.
An ankle injury has seen the player sidelined since August. He made his return to action prior to the international break, coming off the bench in the second half during the 6-0 thrashing of St Johnstone.
With Dedryck Boyata still at the club, competition for places at the back is fierce, leaving Brendan Rodgers with a selection headache.
