Celtic have been dealt an illness blow ahead of their game with Hibs this weekend.
Brendan Rodgers previewed the game and confirmed that Leigh Griffiths is a serious doubt for it.
The Hoops striker reported ill today, missed training and it’s looking unlikely he’ll be able to feature against Neil Lennon’s side.
Rodgers said:
Unfortunately Leigh has been ill and we will have to see if he is available for tomorrow but the message he sent was he wanted to ensure, like we have always said to the players, that you have to be physically right.
The gaffer was pleased that Griffiths didn’t risk training, however, and is content if he does end up missing the game.

If you are going to play for your country or play for a top club like Celtic you have to be physically right going on to the field otherwise you don’t do yourself justice or your team-mates and your support.
Our supporters live their life for this club, the very least they expect from players going on to the field is that they are fit.
Assuming Griffiths does miss the game, further emphasis will rest on Odsonne Edouard to provide the goals.
His recent performances were questioned by John Hartson earlier this week but the Frenchman responded by saying he was fine with the pressures playing for Celtic brings.
We’ll have to wait and see for now whether Griffiths will be 100% but if he isn’t, it’s very much expected he won’t line-up on Saturday.
Kick-off is 3pm.
