Celtic legend Roy Aitken wants to see Scott Brown turn down interest from Australia and stay at the club.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Aitken explains why he believes the influential midfielder should stick around and prolong his playing career.
The Scottish midfielder has been linked with a move to Australia, while there have also been claims that he could hang up his boots for a coaching role in the not too distant future.
Western Melbourne want to bring in the midfielder as a ‘marquee’ signing.
I would be very surprised if Scott Brown doesn’t continue playing for another few seasons. I think he’s got too much to offer on and off the field because he’s a leader. It will be Scott’s choice.

At the age of 33, it is clear that Brown is reaching the final years of his playing career, but all factors appear to point towards the midfielder continuing to play while he is fit and healthy enough to do so.
He has suffered some injury problems this season, but they are not considered anything too serious.
