Tom Rogic ruled out of Leipzig clash and Filip Benkovic is a major doubt

Celtic are facing a huge injury crisis ahead of this evening’s game against RB Leipzig in the Champions League group stages.

Captain Scott Brown and the striker Leigh Griffiths have already been ruled out with injuries and now Tom Rogic has joined them on the sick bench.

The Australian failed to travel to German with the rest of his teammates due to illness and he will now be hoping to recover in time to be fit for the weekend’s League Cup semi-final against Hearts.

Centre-back Filip Benkovic, who has impressed since joining on loan from Leicester City, is also a doubt for the game, so Jozo Simunovic is expected to partner  Dedryck Boyata at the back.

Celtic are currently in third place in Group G, behind second-placed RB Leipzig on goal difference. If the Hoops can avoid defeat in Germany, they’ll give themselves a great opportunity to qualify from the group with upcoming home games against Leipzig and Salzburg as well as an away tie with Rosenborg.
