Ryan Christie confident about new Celtic deal

Ryan Christie is hopeful about his chances of signing a new deal at Celtic after his recent run of form.

Speaking ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash, as cited on the club’s official Twitter account, Christie was optimistic about his chances of getting a deal confirmed in the not too distant future.

I love being a Celtic player and hopefully I can extend my stay here. It’s looking positive and hopefully we can come to an agreement quite soon.

A new deal for Christie has been talked up after his recent run in the Celtic side.

Injuries have meant that Brendan Rodgers has been forced into calling upon Christie over the course of the last few weeks and the former Inverness man is stepping up to the mark.

Heading into the season, it was unclear what role Christie would play at Celtic under Rodgers.

Having returned from a loan spell at Aberdeen, Christie has been forced to wait patiently to prove his worth at Celtic Park.

Christie is out of contract next summer and the club will undoubtedly be keen to come to a swift agreement.
