Mikael Lustig has confirmed that he is hoping to agree a new Celtic contract in the not too distant future.
Speaking to Swedish newspaper Expressen, as cited on HITC, Lustig revealed his plans going forward.
You can wonder as much as you can, but I have a contract with Celtic and I think I’ll play there next year too.
Lustig is out of contract at Celtic at the end of the season and some have tipped the player to move on.

However, the experienced defender appears to still be a part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans going forward, despite many fans calling for reinforcement in that position.
Lustig could follow both Olivier Ntcham and Ryan Christie in committing their futures to the club, with the duo both penning new deals recently.
The Swede is believed to be one of Celtic highest earners, so the club may be keen to reevaluate terms, but it appears that a new contract for Lustig is imminent.
