Celtic will reportedly face competition from their Europa League rivals RB Leipzig for Wigan midfielder Nick Powell.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, the Championship midfielder is attracting interest from the Bundesliga side ahead of the end of his contract with the Latics.
Powell has been heavily linked with a move to Celtic in the past, with the Hoops looking to take advantage of his contract situation.
The report claims that Leipzig’s head of recruitment Paul Mitchell is a fan of the player and is hoping to bring him to the Bundesliga.
Powell has impressed for Wigan since their return to the second tier and Paul Cook’s side now face a fight to keep hold of their star man.
Wigan will be keen to get him tied down to a new deal, but with interest growing that appears unlikely.
Brighton are among the Premier League sides to also be linked with a move to sign the former Manchester United man.
