Kristoffer Ajer has surgery on fractured eye socket

Kristoffer Ajer has taken to Instagram to announce that he’s had surgery on his fractured eye socket.

The 20-year-old defender suffered the injury during Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Livingston after an accidental clash of heads with Livingston captain Craig Halkett.

There is no specific time frame on Ajer’s return at this stage but it seems reasonable to suggest that he’ll be out of action for at least a couple of weeks given he’s just had the surgery.
