Tom Rogic suffers knee injury on international duty
Celtic’s Tom Rogic has reportedly suffered a knee injury while away on international duty with Australia.
The midfielder will now miss Tuesday’s game against Lebanon but the injury is not believed to be too serious.
Rogic started for Australia in the 1-1 draw, with Queens Park Rangers midfielder Massimo Luongo scoring a late equaliser.
Speaking to Fox Sports, Australia boss Graham Arnold confirmed that the Celtic star will not be risked against Lebanon, along with VfL Bochum winger Robbie Kruse.
There is a short turnaround to Tuesday’s match against Lebanon so Tom [Rogic] and Robbie [Kruse], who both performed well on Saturday evening but have minor knee and groin injuries respectively, won’t be risked.
The severity of the injury will come as a major boost to Brendan Rodgers and Celtic.
Should Rogic start against Hamilton?
Yes
No
Given the injury problems that the Hoops have suffered from already this season, the last thing they needed was another name added to the injury list.
With the fixtures also showing no signs of slowing down, having Rogic fit and available will be a huge asset for Rodgers.
