Filip Benkovic will remain a Celtic player until the end of the current season.
This revelation follows comments made by Leicester City manager Claude Puel, where the central defender is being loaned to the Hoops from.
Puel claimed that he would not recall Benkovic in January, as some had speculated that he might.
The Croat has featured in ten games so far this season, and has impressed in the opportunities afforded to him by Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers.
As such, it had been feared that his club may call him back to the English top-flight.

Quoted by the Daily Record, Puel said:
If we don’t have any problems with injuries for example, I would like my players on loan to continue their progress, to continue to develop, to take confidence and develop consistency.
For me it’s the right way for them and for us.
I want players who are ready to play next season. It’s a fantastic opportunity for Benkovic to play and come back with strength and good quality for us.
For Benkovic there was a good opportunity for him to play regularly at a good level with consistency, and he has continued to improve, continued to work.
I will be happy when he comes back to us after the normal time with Celtic.
The 21-year-old last featured as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with Livingston earlier this month.
